"Marigolds" Summary Poem

Lizabeth and brother lives in the time of the Great Depression . The are bored and gets all the kids that are bored to and goes to mess around with Miss Lottie . They throw pebbles at her marigolds that she is working so hard on. Miss Lottie gets her son John Burke to chase them off. Lizabeth feels ashamed of her behavior. At night she hears her father and mother talking about money issues, she get filled with rage when she heard that. At 4 A.M in the morning she wakes her brother up for she can go to Miss Lottie's garden. When she gets there destroys her flowers cause she is filled with rage. Miss Lottie comes out to see what is happening and sees her garden ruined. Lizabeth starts sobbing, she regrets what has done.
