JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 31 - Vandalism
According to Wendy Stenberg-Tendys, "Under the new law, parents would be cited for such vandalism, and the
proceeds would be used to help clean and recondition destroyed property." (source link). This shows that parents should be able to ACHIEVE the prevention of their teens actions of vandalism. This also shows that parents would be held accountable 100 percent for their teens actions of any damaging ways. According to Arthur Gibson of Helium debates, "Yes, because if parents aren't responsible for their child's behavior, than who is?" (source link). This shows that parents need to be able to watch there kids and monitor their behaviors and actions so they do not to any thing illegal. This also shows that parents should be held responsible for SPECIFICALLY what their kids do because they are under age and can not pay for what they did by themselves. In conclusion, parents should be held accountable for what their kids COMPUTING to the vandalism because they are too young to be charged themselves and they should have been watched closer by their parents.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 28 - Truant Students
Global Positioning System (GPS) devices should be placed on students person. According to The Washington Post, " Seventh- and eighth-grade students with four or more unexcused absences
are being asked to carry GPS devices instead of wearing them, to keep
the students from feeling like criminals."(SOURCE). This shows that the schools ADMINISTRATION will be able to keep kids safer by not allowing the students to ditch as easy. Many things can happen on the streets during school. This also shows that the CONDUCT of these actions will increase grades because they will be in school. According to The Washington Post, "Students in the program get automated phone calls in the mornings
reminding them to go to school, and then must enter a tracking code five
times a day: when they leave for school, when they arrive, at lunch,
when they leave school and at 8 p.m." (SOURCE). This shows that the students will be out of their ELEMENT which should push them to do good. This also shows that the effectiveness of these actions should be a healthy strategy to keep students in school. In conclusion, truant students should wear a (GPS) system to keep their education.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 27 - Drug Sniffing Dogs
I think school officials do have the right to use drug-sniffing dogs. According to The Network Unified Board of Education, "The goal here is [drug] prevention and minimizing these incidents, this is not a witch hunt by the police, it’s a way to
help the school" (SOURCE). This shows that if there is a suspicion of drug activity on campus, the dogs will be able RESPOND in a much successful way than just ASSUMING one has illegal drugs on them. This also shows that they can have an assembly where the dog comes in and searches them at a random time where they will not be able to get rid of the substance. According to Drug Dogs Pro/Con: Is it Invasion of Privacy or an Appropriate Preventative Action, "The threat of drug dogs at school will make the students fearful of
bringing any illegal substances, thus creating a safer environment".(SOURCE). This shows that the PROCESS of bringing drug dogs on campus will be a much easier task because less people will bring drugs on campus, knowing that a dog will come randomly. This also shows that over time, the drug dogs will soon eliminate drugs on campus all together. In conclusion, schools should have the right to bring drug sniffing dogs on campus because it will provide safety to the students that go there, and prevent illegal activity from happening there.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 26 - Cars
I would not want a car that drives itself. According to the Technology trends and news by Faith Merino, "Driving laws would need to be massively overhauled. For example, in the event that there is an accident, who is at fault:
the driver for failing to override the car, or the software developer?
" (SOURCE). This shows that there will not be a clear justification on who is to blame when this OCCURS. This also shows that the METHOD of handling these types of issues will change and there will be confusion.According to the administration of The Pros and Cons of Driver-less Cars, "There’s no substitute for experience. They say that you only start to learn to drive properly after you have passed your driving test." (SOURCE). This shows that the world would PROCEED with learning this new way of driving but if it fails later in the future everyone will have forgotten how to regularly drive. This also shows that the aftermath of this downfall if it does in fact fail, would be devastating because a lot of the worlds important jobs in the U.S. involve driving, therefore if it fails the economy and eventually the whole U.S. will fail as well. In conclusion, I would not want a driver-less car because there are too many things that could cause our downfall if this falls through.

JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 25 - Concealed Carry
Adults should have the right to carry a concealed handgun. According to According to a 2000 study by John Lott, PhD , "The right to carry concealed handguns is guaranteed by the Second
Amendment in the US Constitution. The Second Amendment states, "A well
regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the
right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed." (SOURCE).
This shows that the right is given to anyone to protect themselves. This also shows that we have the right to hold guns to worn off people that may try to harm us or anyone around us.
According to a 2000 report by engineering statistician William Sturdevant published on the Texas Concealed Handgun Association , "Criminals are less likely to attack someone that they believe might be armed. The deterrent effect of concealed carry benefits the individual carrying a handgun as well as the general public because criminals never know who is armed." (SOURCE).
This shows that the streets will become safer for elderly people, kids, and everyday people walking through the streets. This also shows that less people will get robed and fewer homes will get invaded due to the fact that any one person might be carrying a gun. In conclusion, adults should have the right to carry a concealed handgun to protect themselves, their family, and anyone around them.

I wish I had a million... Then I would...(Blog Post)
I wish I had a million dollars because I need the money. Then I would buy a house so we don't have to live in a r.v anymore. We could actually live in a normal place and not have to drive around to find a place to park. It will help a lot because it is stressful to live in a r.v, especially with a family of five. The house will allow us to live a normal life, and not on the streets. I would by my mom an I each a car so we can get around and take my little brother to and from school. I would take care of all the things that needed to be taken care of such as simple necessity's and household items for daily life. If I got a million dollars, my life as well as my family's would be so much better, and we would not have to stress anymore.

Academic Language Written Assessment Week 24
Online learning is an effective way to educate students.According to Chicago Tribune, "One reason for its popularity is that it allows students to learn individually and at their own pace, a difficult feature for a teacher with a class of 30 students with varying levels of proficiency. SOURCE This shows that the level of work could improve due to the fact of
the students AREA, and if there is no distractions. This also shows that
they can take a break when they need is so they do not become
overworked or stressed out. According to U.S. Department of Education.,
"The study found that students who took all or part of their instruction
online performed better, on average, than those taking the same course
through face-to-face instruction."SOURCE
This shows that students preform better in a more comfortable in an
area that DIFFERENTIATES from a classroom. This also shows that the
CLARIFICATION of better scores do happen from students taking an online
class. In conclusion, many have taken an online class, and many have been
proven to succeed in higher grades.

Dog fighting should be illegal. For example, dogs should not be treated in such ways to have them fight to the death for ones amusement. This shows that the ones involved with such acts should be sent to jail because the dogs cant POTENTIALLY speak for themselves and say they don't want to do this. This also shows that the dogs should be treated much better because these activity do not benefit the dogs what so ever, only the humans putting these dogs in harm .In addition, people that involve their dog with fighting and the ones who watch it should be taken to because they could stop this DISTINCT act of violence. This shows that the FORMULA for keeping dogs away from dog fights are going to be hard if there is no authority involved with this matter. This also shows that the more dogs that get rescued, the more people we put behind bars for this act of cruel animal violence. In conclusion, dog fighting should be illegal because they are taking the lives of innocent dogs all around the country.

In addition, it is unfair to the people that work very hart to get to the point where they are now. Also, it is very bad for your health, you can develop health issues and become accustom to heavy mood swings and cases of roidrage. JCCS Academic Language Assessment Week 18
Should teen drivers have special restrictions placed on their drivers' license?
I think teen drivers should have restrictions on their license. For example, after AQUIRING the license, the child should not drive with other kids under eighteen because they are still somewhat learning. This shows that it will let them mature a little more so they will take driving with other people more seriously so they wont put them in harms way. This also shows that if the young adult CONCLUDES the time being and have developed the proper driving skills, then they should be able to drive other people. In addition, I think it would be a good idea to ristrict things like driving past eleven because kids under eighteen shouldnt be out that late. This shows that kids should get use to driving at night first so they will not get in a accident. This also shows that the CULTURE of driving is safe for everyone who is driving and who is a passenger. In conclusion, I believe that there should be ristrictions on teen licenses.
